Project MINDKISS demonstrates that what at first appears impossible is possible![]() Stefan SagmeisterOne of the project partners from the beginning was Stefan Sagmeister, one of the most important designers of our time. He did design work for Lou Reed, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones, Brian Eno and David Byrne and received various renowned awards, among of them two Grammies and the “Lucky Strike Design Award 2009” for his life´s work. With the book MINDKISS that he designed, he created a congenial and spectacular framework for the first public look at OUBEYs multifaceted and complex work. ![]() Bernd MuellerBernd Müller (“asif:filmmatters”) and Lars Eberle (“lessrain”) from Berlin created an experience film with their teams, which opens up to the viewer an extraordinary and personal encounter with OUBEY, granting access not only to the person, but also to the mental sources, from which OUBEYs work arose. The sonic figures that imbue this film with a rhythm all its own are the result of the participation of Kangding Ray. The film was publicly shown for the first time at the Opening Event of www.oubey.com at the Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) in Karlsruhe on 23 March 2010. When, where and how it may be seen publicly in the future has currently not yet been determined. Further information will be publicized in time on OUBEY.com. ![]() Prof. Dr. Peter KruseProf. Dr. Peter Kruse explores the collective intelligence of networks. From the begin ning, he has actively supported the approach of sharing and free networking, which the MINDKISS project embodies with the manner of its appearance on the Internet. Among other things, this is documented quite vividly by his “Encounter with OUBEY” from January 2010, which as one of the very first Encounter experiences of the project has meanwhile become almost a classic. ![]() Dagmar Woyde-KoehlerTwelve short films with the title “Encounters with OUBEY” were produced under the direction of Dagmar Woyde-Koehler, initiator and head of the MINDKISS project. The films document an immediate encounter with OUBEYs pictures by people of the most diverse professions, generations and cultures. The first film was uploaded to OUBEYs website for the web site opening on 23 March 2010.![]() Ole LeifelsOle Leifels is a photographer and co-founder of the interactive agency Kubikfoto³ in Bremen, which has developed software that is unique in the whole world. With this software it is possible to realize interactive Flash worlds based on photos, called Kubikfoto³. Using this technique, he has designed a virtual 360 degree visit to OUBEY’s studio for visitors to the web site. The possibility of being able to move almost completely freely enables visitors to the web site to authentically experience the dimensions and the atmosphere of this space, in which OUBEY last worked. Various interactive functions react to a mouse click, inviting visitors to come closer, discover and stay. ![]() Jürgen AltzieblerIn co-operation with Drew Prochaska, Jurgen created the OUBEY.com web experience. From the beginning, it was clear that OUBEY.com should be built with flexibility in mind to allow content to grow. The simple design sets the stage to allow for undistracted viewing of OUBEYs art and content. Jürgen has developed interactive solutions for IBM Research, Cisco, Microsoft, MasterCard, W3C and many more. Moreover, Jurgen’s talents have been awarded by the Webby Awards, MITX, The One Club. |
